As part of the investment strategy implementation process, we provide specific investment product (Cash, Stocks, Fixed Income, Unit Trusts, ETFs, Direct Investments) analysis. Although ours is primarily an advisory service whereby clients have the free choice of what goes into their investment portfolio, we also provide model portfolios catering to different risk profiles. These model portfolios form the backbone of any client discretionary mandate.

Within the framework of systematic portfolio advice and management that is embedded in our model portfolios, we offer clients a further choice of indexed and/or absolute return targets.

Clients have the choice of:

1. portfolios benchmarked against specific performance indices e.g. a global stock index, which is the traditional approach, or

2. portfolios managed on an absolute return basis, such as our “Fulcrum” portfolios or

3. a combination of both.

Regardless of whether the mandate is discretionary or strictly advisory, NI reviews client portfolios periodically, ensuring that the investment portfolio performance is aligned with the objectives of the client mandate.
